Singer-songwriter wins Tamoil Prize

The Tamoil Culture Prize for Arts and Literature was won this year by singer-songwriter Elly Kellner

Elly can rightly be called a multi-talent. From the age of 9 she started writing lyrics and singing to her own composed melodies. In addition, she developed herself as a cartoonist and she is very adept at multimedia. A few of her albums have been released, both solo and in collaboration with (international) colleagues. Her source of inspiration is life itself, with all its ups and downs. A good witness of this is her album: “Sinking and floating”. Her lyrics are both Dutch and English and the songs can be qualified as lyrical pop and folk.
