Alternative to fossil-free diesel is becoming increasingly available
Because of the success of Blue Diesel 100 in the Netherlands, Tamoil Netherlands is going to work even more closely with Neste, the world’s largest producer of renewable fuels and voted as the third most sustainable company in the world. Blue Diesel 100 is therefore being replaced by Neste MY Renewable Diesel.
“Tamoil has successfully introduced Blue Diesel 100 on the Dutch market in recent years,” says Ronald Kempen, Managing Director of Tamoil Nederland B.V. “We also want to continue to meet the rapidly growing demand in the future. That is why we entered into a more intensive collaboration with producer Neste and Blue Diesel 100 is replaced by Neste MY Renewable Diesel. ”
Neste MY Renewable Diesel
Neste MY Renewable Diesel is made from 100% renewable raw materials. With this fossil-free and low-emission diesel, CO2 emissions from diesel vehicles are reduced by up to 90%. Neste MY Renewable Diesel is suitable for all diesel engines in cars, buses and trucks. It requires no adjustments to existing engines and vehicles.
From today, diesel drivers can drive fossil-free on Neste MY Renewable Diesel by refueling at the following Tamoil stations in the Netherlands: Akkrum, Alkmaar, Beesd, The Hague, Drachten, Heerlen, Hilversum, Leeuwarden, Marrum, Scheemda, Suameer, Winsum and Wolvega.
Tamoil strives to be able to offer the product in the beginning of 2020 at around 50 locations within its network.
“The climate crisis is one of the greatest challenges of our time. By using Neste MY Renewable Diesel, our customers can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% compared to fossil diesel, “explains Pieter Zonneveld, Vice President of Sales for Neste in Europe and Asia.” We are therefore looking forward to continue our cooperation with distribution partner Tamoil. At various locations in the Netherlands they already offer Neste MY Renewable Diesel, which gives people everywhere in the Netherlands the chance to reduce CO2 emissions in their immediate vicinity. ”
