Stream Pro Ltd, a subsidiary of Oilinvest, and Karbon-X Corp. (OTCQB:KARX) announced today the signing of a Technical Advisory Agreement to support the design and development of high-quality nature-based carbon projects. Stream Pro’s experience in developing, implementing and managing projects of an environmental nature is to be combined with Karbon-X’s expertise in evaluating, developing, and managing high-integrity climate projects across global carbon markets while supporting certification under internationally recognized standards.
The engagement complements Oilinvest’s sustainability initiatives and is being undertaken in parallel with the broader development of the Group’s Climate Transition Plan. It focuses on the restoration of the Tripoli Wildlife Park and Great Forest ARR Project, where one of Libya’s largest afforestation projects is under way to restore large tracts of previously degraded land through afforestation and long-term carbon sequestration. The project also provides an opportunity to explore future biodiversity-related value streams while supporting lasting environmental and community benefits.
“Oilinvest’s Climate Transition Plan aims to enable the Group to prepare for the future in a commercial and practical manner. Working with a specialist such as Karbon-X during the initial design phase will help us assess opportunities to develop projects that deliver real environmental impact while creating value for local communities,” said Ahmed Elkerami, CEO of Oilinvest.
“We’re pleased to be working with Stream Pro Ltd. on a restoration initiative with the potential to become a high-quality carbon project under internationally recognized standards,” said Chad Clovis, Chief Executive Officer of Karbon-X. “By combining Karbon-X’s experience in developing and managing carbon projects with Oilinvest’s commitment to environmental stewardship, this engagement will establish a strong technical foundation for evaluating the project’s long-term potential. We look forward to working with Stream Pro as this initiative progresses” Karbon-X is a vertically integrated climate solutions company delivering end-to-end services across compliance and voluntary carbon markets. The company works with organizations worldwide to evaluate, develop, and guide high-integrity carbon projects through certification under internationally recognized standards. Through its engagement with Oilinvest, Karbon-X will evaluate how the Tripoli Wildlife Park and Great Forest ARR Project can be developed in accordance with internationally recognized carbon standards.
The current engagement is limited to technical advisory services supporting the initial design phase of the proposed project. Any future stages will be subject to separate agreements and the successful outcome of this initial work.
